Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What tests are done before a prescription?

After you fill out a questionnaire and take a body composition (InBody) test, the doctor consults with you and prescribes in person. Please tell us about any medication you take or any condition you are being treated for, and bring your recent health checkup or blood test results if you have them.

Can it be uncomfortable at the start?

In the early days you may notice mild nausea, light palpitations, slight hand tremor, headache, or shallow sleep. This is your body's natural adaptation as it starts drawing on body fat. It does not mean the medicine is wrong for you, and it usually eases within a few days to 1-2 weeks. Drink plenty of water and do not cut salt too much (if you have high blood pressure, keep to the limits you normally follow). Please stop taking the medicine and contact us only if you have chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness to the point of nearly fainting, or palpitations that worsen even at rest.

Can I take herbal diet medicine if I have a thyroid condition, high blood pressure, diabetes, or depression?

In most cases, yes. If you have an underactive thyroid, high blood pressure, diabetes, depression, or a women's health condition, or you are in a life stage with big bodily changes such as postpartum, menopause, adolescence, or senior years, we check more carefully at the consultation and then decide whether you can take it and what to prescribe. For conditions you are being treated for, consulting your own doctor comes first.

Can children or parents in their 70s take herbal diet medicine?

Yes. For growing children, we consult together with a guardian, adjust the herbs and dosage separately for age and weight, and help correct habits without starvation. For people in their 60s and 70s or older, we review all the medication you take, slim down gradually to protect muscle, and aim to reduce the load on joints and the cardiovascular system.
