Diabetes and prediabetes:
designed together with your diet

Diet is half of the result. We check your diabetes medicine and prescribe together with a meal plan.

  1. Insulin resistance
  2. What you eat piles up easily
  3. Stalls without diet changes

We consult nationwide through remote consultations. Results may vary from person to person.

Why is it hard?

Why is it hard for this body to lose weight?

Insulin resistance

When insulin does not work well, what you eat easily piles up as fat. Weight tends to rise even with the same meals.

Diet plays a big part

The Korean diet tends to be high in carbohydrates. Without changing your diet, it is hard to raise the efficiency of weight loss.

The limits of extreme restriction

Cutting out rice entirely is a burden on the body and hard to keep up. You need to reduce within a reasonable range.

If this sounds like you

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You were told at a health checkup that you have prediabetes.
  • You are eating less, yet neither your weight nor your blood sugar changes.
  • When you cut out rice, noodles, and bread, it leads to bingeing.
  • You take diabetes medicine and do not know whether you can take herbal medicine with it.
  • You worry about regaining weight if you stop Wegovy or Mounjaro.
Miple's prescription

How a Miple prescription works

  1. Checking your medicationWe first check the name and dose of your diabetes medicine and whether you use insulin or GLP-1 injections. We also look at your recent blood sugar test results.
  2. Meal planningWe reduce carbohydrates within a set range, choosing good-quality ones. We do not cut them out to an extreme.
  3. Stage-by-stage prescriptionWe start at the right stage of MYCUT's 7 stages and adjust each month. You take it twice a day, morning and afternoon.
  4. Keep your existing careDo not stop or reduce your diabetes medicine on your own. Adjustments should be made with your attending doctor.
Diet and lifestyle tips

Try this at home

  • Cut back on white rice, flour, and sugar, and choose good carbohydrates such as brown rice and vegetables.
  • Sugar hides in sauces, dressings, and fruit juice too. Check the ingredient label.
  • Sweet potatoes, sweet pumpkin, fruit, and honey are also carbohydrates. Even when healthy, set the amount.
  • Eating protein with every meal leaves you less hungry.
  • If you bring photos of your meals for 2–3 days, we will find the gaps together.

Consultation process

How your care proceeds

First month

Adjusting and finding your stage

We check your medicines and start at a low stage. We adjust the diet in stages rather than changing it all at once.

Months 2–3

Monthly body composition check · stage adjustment

Each month we check your body composition and adjust your diet and prescription stage together.

Maintenance stage

Months 3–6, lowering stages gradually

Over 3–6 months we gradually step the stages down and review the diet that has settled in.

This describes the care process. The pace and results of weight loss vary from person to person.

Frequently Asked Questions

Diabetes · Prediabetes: your questions

Can I take it together with diabetes medicine?

It depends on the type of medicine. If you tell us the name and dose, we check and then prescribe.

Can it help with prediabetes too?

It is not a prescription for managing blood sugar; it is a diet prescription and meal plan. Results may vary from person to person.

Can I get a consultation if I'm using injections?

Please be sure to tell us before the consultation. The rule is to talk to your prescribing doctor first.

Do I have to cut out rice completely?

No. Cutting it out to an extreme is a burden, so our guide is to reduce good-quality carbohydrates to within 50% of total calories.

Can I do intermittent fasting?

If you use diabetes medicine or injections, please talk to your attending doctor first. Even then, what you eat during mealtimes matters more.
